Rolf
Project Management

This is Rolf
Project manager at stodt
Another strategist, but this one is in charge of all things digital. A colleague with a whole host of qualifications, who loves efficiency and tends to get annoyed with drawn-out decision-making processes. He calls himself lazy, but honestly – we’ve not noticed it at all.
Warm-up question for getting started:
What’s your name?
Rolf. The name makes me sound older than I am.
Titles, titles, titles:
What is your job title?
Project manager
Master, Dipl.-Ing. or Dr. med.:
What is your educational title, meaning what did you actually study?
Lots of things. Someone once said that earning qualifications is a kind of hobby of mine: Commercial training, Bachelor of Arts (media sciences/geography), training programme in film production, most recently and most relevant for my job at stodt: Digital Business Management (Master).
What everyone has always wanted to know:
What do you do at stodt?
I’m in charge of all things digital – from strategy development through to the implementation of apps, web and software applications, it’s all part of the job to some extent.
Look behind the scenes:
What can you do and why?
Think strategically – very helpful for making decisions. If you know what you want and where you’re going, it’s easier to handle unpredictable events along the way.
Experience is a good thing, too:
How long have you been with stodt?
Since March 2019.
Customers, machines, pixels, a warm office or coffee:
Why are you passionate about your job?
As a lazy person, I love efficiency – the digital realm offers huge potential there. Creating new processes for making unnecessarily complicated, annoying or superfluous things more efficient and reducing them to a minimum frees up space for the important things.
Be honest, but not so honest we have to censor your answer:
What gets on your nerves sometimes?
Drawn-out decision-making processes that push you up against tight deadlines – at the expense of quality. Or statements like: “We’ve always done it this way.”
