Untangling the information chaos

We live in a digital world that’s becoming more interconnected by the day. It’s all based on data. And at first glance, or even at second glance, this data doesn’t always make a whole lot of sense. Our content data specialist with a soft spot for literature dissects and sorts out the tangle of information. She turns cryptic data into usable and traceable content.

Warm-up question for getting started:

What’s your name?

Xi

Titles, titles, titles:

What is your job title?

Content data analyst and manager

Master, Dipl.-Ing. or Dr. med.:

What is your educational title, meaning what did you actually study?

Literary and Cultural Theory, Master of Arts

Many people are surprised that after my studies I didn’t seek out work in a ‘literary’ or ‘cultural’ field. But I think that during university studies, you learn not only specific knowledge but also the soft skills, such as structured work methods, time management, goal orientation, coping with stress, etc., and you develop strong resilience so you don’t give up right away – which is also very important in many jobs.

What everyone has always wanted to know:

What do you do at stodt?

I structure, group and tag digital data. I maintain a digital assets management system (DAM) and I’m the customers’ point of contact for their questions and requests. I also conceive and manage workflows and processes surrounding the DAM system to make working with the tool as easy as possible for everyone.

Look behind the scenes:

What can you do and why?

Stay patient and optimistic. I think for my work it’s very important to be a patient optimist.

Stay patient and optimistic. I think for my work it’s very important to be a patient optimist.

A big task is like a long tunnel, and I’m always convinced that I’ll see the light soon.

Experience is a good thing, too:

How long have you been with stodt?

Since February 2022.

Customers, machines, pixels, a warm office or coffee:

Why are you passionate about your job?

The new challenges. I always enjoy getting new tasks and finding ways to solve them. The jobs that give me headaches in the beginning are also the ones that I enjoy twice as much in the end.

Be honest, but not so honest we have to censor your answer:

What gets on your nerves sometimes?

The chocolates and sweets lying around in the kitchen, in the Christmas presents or at our summer parties! They have to take responsibility for me putting on weight. ;)
